Mother of three and wife to Lynn, Holly is a midwesterner at heart. She grew up in North Iowa and at the moment is knee-deep in boxes as her family prepares to move to Florida.

This was the post on Children’s Hope Chest’s Facebook page in August. However, actually the journey begins in July at the Proverbs 31 She Speaks Conference that I had the blessing of attending. It was there that I heard the vision of Children’s Hope Chest. During one of the main sessions we watched a video about their ministry to victims of human trafficking in Moldova. It absolutely broke my heart. It was announced that one of the conference attendees would be winning a trip to Moldova. I remember tears welling up in my eyes and praying, “Lord, here I am. Send me. If you want me to go….send me.”
And here I am…..72 hours away from the Moldova trip and writing my first blog post. In 72 hours I will meet in person the 7 others that God has called to this team and we will travel to Moldova. My heart is so full right now it is hard to put into words (not good when you are trying to write a blog). I am thankful and humbled at the opportunity to serve. My heart is already broken by just the small amount that I have learned about human trafficking and about Moldova.

One of the greatest targets for sex trafficking are girls who leave the orphanages
I invite you to take this journey with me. In the days ahead we will be loving on girls who have been rescued from human trafficking, we will visit a rehabilitation house, participate in prevention programs, worship, learn about Moldovan culture, learn about Beginning of Life Moldova ( a HopeChest partner) and most of all we will share the love of Jesus with everyone we meet. I invite you to come along through prayer and through this blog. Here we are Lord…..send us.
